Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm single, late 20s, and Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. The median home value here is around $134,600, which is actually reasonable. Crime rate is something to consider -Kingsville sits at 511.8 per 100K. With a population of 25,061, Kingsville is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,021 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thoughts? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in Springfield for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Diverse dining options
- The safety scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Bought a house here in 2018 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone about the same since then.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely underrated and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (East) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.
