Healthcare options in Kinston?

Random thought, I've been here for 8 years and It's a a small town city with about 19,576 people. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 19,576, Kinston is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thanks for reading. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in The Heights area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries
- The public transit scene is improving

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 4 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
