Planning a move to Kinston -neighborhoods?

Been meaning to ask this. With a population of 19,576, Kinston is a small town. Homes are going for about $108,300 on average. It's a a small town city with about 19,576 people. Household incomes average around $35,250 in Kinston. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Worth the trade-offs? Thanks! Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 10 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into running, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
