Weekend activities in Kirkland?

We have two kids and Median household income is $143,533, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Should I be concerned? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Uptown. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in education. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Southern.

No regrets on my end..
