Working remotely from Kirkland — my experience

I've been working remotely from Kirkland for 15 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Kirkland is a solid choice.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is the west side tends to be more affordable. Makes a big difference.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.

Respectfully disagree about the job market. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

I work in logistics and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 6 months.

I've lived in Highland Park for 3 years and it's decent, has its pros and cons.

As someone who moved here from Denver, I can confirm most of this. The job opportunities surprised me the most.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Maple Heights. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.
