Alright, Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $48,063 in Kirksville. The median home value here is around $145,300, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 11.4%, which is around average. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's been a really good experience overall. Worth doing your research before committing.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Downtown area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The dating scene is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in legal. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.
