Unpopular opinion about Kirkwood

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a teacher here and You can expect to pay around $1,293 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 29,302 people. Median household income is $117,439, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $421,500, which is pretty steep. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. No regrets on my end..

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.
