Rent in Kirtland getting crazy

I'm retired and Rent is about $906/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $117,794 in Kirtland. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Should I be concerned? TIA! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Westside. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in education. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
