Rent vs buy in Kissimmee -what makes sense?

Longtime lurker here, Just moved here 18 months ago and The median home value here is around $273,900, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Kissimmee sits at 487.1 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks!

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much reasonable but now it's better than expected.
