Random thought, The suburbs are where most families end up. What would you do?

I've lived in South for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
- The walkability scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Highland area are underrated. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Phoenix about 6 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..
