Anyone regret moving to Knoxville?

Curious what people think. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Any advice would be great.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Eastside area are average. Kids love it here.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The housing market is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in North. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in education. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Indian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
