I work in consulting and Household incomes average around $50,994 in Knoxville. Poverty rate is 13.0%, which is around average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Bought a house here in 2019 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.
