Anyone work in healthcare in Kokomo?

First post here. Crime rate is something to consider -Kokomo sits at 677.7 per 100K. Homes are going for about $126,500 on average. Poverty rate is 11.1%, which is around average. With a population of 59,375, Kokomo is a smaller city. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I've lived in East for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The healthcare scene is decent

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
