How much do you pay for rent in Kokomo?

Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Poverty rate is 11.1%, which is around average. Homes are going for about $126,500 on average. Household incomes average around $54,195 in Kokomo. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Close to nature
- Walkable downtown
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- High property taxes
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Not enough green space
Any help is appreciated. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Tampa about 4 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..
