Working remotely from Kokomo

Hey, I'm originally from Minneapolis and The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Tampa about 9 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
