Starting a business in Kuna?

Longtime lurker here, My partner and I are Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Rent is about $1,647/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Kuna sits at 80.5 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Would love some local perspective. Cheers. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The healthcare is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Seattle about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in South for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The community vibe scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
