Best restaurants in Kyle?

So, Median household income is $89,645, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Anyone in a similar situation? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Portland about 11 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are pricey, gas is decent.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
