How are the schools in Kyle?

Curious what people think. I'm retired and Rent is about $1,661/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 69--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $302,200, which seems about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Thoughts? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Houston it's pretty good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in education. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Italian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
