Living in La Cañada Flintridge -the reality

I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $2,000,001 on average. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I work in marketing here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is average. Feel free to reach out with questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
