First post here. I work in healthcare and The unemployment rate is 5.2%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in Highland for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The walkability scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is tough in most areas.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Feel free to reach out with questions..
