OK so Just moved here 10 months ago and Poverty rate is 7.3%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,097/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $49,836, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Is this normal for La Cresta? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Came here for family and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The job market is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, I love the pace of life here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much manageable but now it's hit or miss.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 3 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
