How is the nightlife in La Crosse?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm originally from Baltimore and Household incomes average around $53,803 in La Crosse. Median household income is $53,803, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's a a smaller city city with about 51,791 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Would love some local perspective. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The safety is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Denver it's average.
