Moving to La Grange for work -advice?

Crime rate is something to consider -La Grange sits at 64.8 per 100K. With a population of 15,999, La Grange is a small town. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Let me know your thoughts. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to LA it's decent.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from LA about 14 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
