Is it worth buying in La Grange?

So, Median household income is $86,222, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What would you do? The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely excellent and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Westside) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 9 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
