Moving to La Grange for work -advice?
Hello, I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a small town city with about 10,188 people. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 10,188, La Grange is a small town. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Worth the trade-offs? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
