La Marque quality of life -am I missing something?

My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $189,400 on average. Rent is about $1,375/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Does this match your experience? The food scene here is surprisingly good.
