Homes are going for about $738,800 on average. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a smaller city city with about 60,835 people. Poverty rate is 7.2%, which is pretty low. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The pet-friendliness is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Maple Ridge area are hit or miss. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want community vibe, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in North for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The community vibe scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Dallas about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Definitely worth checking out..
