Worst things about La Mesa nobody talks about

Hey folks, I'm retired and The median home value here is around $738,800, which is pretty steep. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. I've lived in Sunset for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The walkability scene is improving

The downsides:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.

I work in consulting here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is decent. Good luck with whatever you decide..
