Just moved to La Mirada, any tips?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and Median household income is $110,177, which feels pretty solid for the area. Household incomes average around $110,177 in La Mirada. Crime rate is something to consider -La Mirada sits at 176.6 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $2,052 for rent here. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Would love some local perspective. Thanks in advance! Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
