La Mirada quality of life -am I missing something?

First post here. Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 4.5%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $2,052 for rent here. Rent is about $2,052/month for a decent place. With a population of 46,945, La Mirada is a smaller city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Good job market
- Close to nature
- Low taxes

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Poor road conditions
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homelessness issues downtown
Any advice would be great. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
