Hey everyone, Homes are going for about $405,200 on average. It's a a small town city with about 10,470 people. Crime rate is something to consider -La Plata sits at 492.8 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,483 for rent here. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are challenging, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I work in government here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is excellent. No regrets on my end..
