Working remotely from La Puente

Random thought, Crime rate is something to consider -La Puente sits at 378.3 per 100K. Homes are going for about $593,200 on average. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance! The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Dallas about 10 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
