Alright, Born and raised here. With a population of 38,299, La Quinta is a smaller city. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What do you all think? The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
