I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $126,500 on average. You can expect to pay around $823 for rent here. Median household income is $48,185, which feels on the lower side for the area. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The city has invested a lot in new development. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in West for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- The job market scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..
