Top 5 things I love about Lacombe

Been meaning to ask this. The median home value here is around $222,600, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 6,883 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Highland. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in legal. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
