Anyone regret moving to Lafayette?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a remote worker and Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $647,600, which is pretty steep. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great farm-to-table places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
