Hi all, Been living here since 2023. Crime rate is something to consider -Lafayette sits at 485.0 per 100K. With a population of 70,650, Lafayette is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $1,039 for rent here. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Would love some local perspective. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
