Grocery stores in Lafayette -recommendations?
Been living here since 2020. The median home value here is around $157,600, which is actually reasonable. With a population of 70,650, Lafayette is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Any advice would be great. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
