How much do you pay for rent in Lafayette?
Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and It's a a smaller city city with about 70,650 people. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Homes are going for about $157,600 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Lafayette sits at 485.0 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,039 for rent here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
