Τα Καρδάμυλα είναι ένα χωριό στην Ελλαδα, στη βόρεια-βορειοανατολική Χίο, σε οδική απόσταση 27 χιλιομέτρων από την πόλη της Χίου. Σήμερα υπάγεται στο ομώνυμο δημοτικό διαμέρισμα του δήμου Χίου. Παλαιότερα ο όρος «Καρδάμυλα» συμπεριελάμβανε τόσο τα Άνω Καρδάμυλα, που βρίσκονται σε κάποια απόσταση από τη θάλασσα, όσο και τον παραθαλάσσιο οικισμό-επίνειό τους, το Μάρμαρο, καθώς και τον μικρότερο οικισμό Ράχη. Στο παρόν λήμμα αναφερόμαστε κυρίως στον άνω οικισμό, σε συμφωνία με την Ελληνική Στατιστική Αρχή. Υπήρχε επίσης ο δήμος Καρδαμύλων.
