Hello, Rent is about $2,819/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much competitive but now it's decent.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 12 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I'm a contractor and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.
