Studio apartments in Laguna Niguel -options?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and Crime rate is something to consider -Laguna Niguel sits at 64.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $140,605 in Laguna Niguel. It's a a smaller city city with about 64,023 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Diverse community
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Far from major airports
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homelessness issues downtown
Cheers. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Midtown) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The healthcare scene is decent

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a teacher, 27, moved here 12 years ago from Phoenix. I've lived in Downtown and South, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Affordable housing options
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Summers can be brutally hot
3. The traffic situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Downtown: Great for couples. challenging vibes, walkable.
- South: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Phoenix, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $60K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
