Thinking about relocating to Laguna Niguel from New York

OK so I work in government and It's a a smaller city city with about 64,023 people. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Homes are going for about $1,123,000 on average. With a population of 64,023, Laguna Niguel is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $1,123,000, which is pretty steep. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Let me know your thoughts. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've lived in West for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- The school system scene is solid

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..
