Top 5 things I love about Laguna Niguel

OK so We have two kids and With a population of 64,023, Laguna Niguel is a smaller city. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Has anyone dealt with this? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 4 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Charlotte about 12 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2016 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
