Hey folks, The median home value here is around $942,700, which is pretty steep. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What are your go-to spots? OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Uptown. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in finance. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Italian.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The cost of living is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
