Rent vs buy in Lake Arrowhead -what makes sense?

Hello, Rent is about $2,120/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $2,120 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What do you all think? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
