Planning a move to Lake Catherine -neighborhoods?

Hi all, I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Lake Catherine sits at 111.1 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,250 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Old Town. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.
