Lake Charles quality of life -am I missing something?

Born and raised here. It's a a smaller city city with about 81,679 people. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 16.2%, which is higher than I expected. Median household income is $56,864, which feels about average for the area. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cheers. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
