How are the schools in Lake City?

I'm a 48-year-old firefighter and Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. The unemployment rate is 0.2%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What are your go-to spots?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely excellent and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
