Hey, My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a small town city with about 7,761 people. You can expect to pay around $1,507 for rent here. Poverty rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. With a population of 7,761, Lake Dallas is a small town. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
